The work Revue by Marcel Vertès was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art auction at Christies in New York in February 2007. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,535.15), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Marcel Vertès have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paravent Représentant Des Personnages De La Comedia Dell'Arte in January 2014 with an auction result of EUR 27,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Revue von Marcel Vertès wurde im Februar 2007 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.535,15) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcel Vertès auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paravent Représentant Des Personnages De La Comedia Dell'Arte im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.500,00.
