Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Bust Of A Woman With Doves; Bust Of A Woman With Cat: A Pair Of Paintings by Marcel Vertès for USD 5,938.00 (€ 4,176.10). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist and Modern Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Marcel Vertès have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paravent Représentant Des Personnages De La Comedia Dell'Arte in January 2014 with an auction result of EUR 27,500.00.

Im September 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Bust Of A Woman With Doves; Bust Of A Woman With Cat: A Pair Of Paintings von Marcel Vertès für USD 5.938,00 (€ 4.176,10) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcel Vertès auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paravent Représentant Des Personnages De La Comedia Dell'Arte im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.500,00.
