In July 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Ginny Williams Collection: Part II, which included the work Images Du Silence Images Of Silence by Marcel Jean. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,760.32), 63% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Jean achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La lune d'Eiffel in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 94,000.00 (€ 110,425.79).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen

Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Ginny Williams Collection: Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Images Du Silence Images Of Silence von Marcel Jean zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.760,32) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Jean erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La lune d'Eiffel im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 94.000,00 (€ 110.425,79).
