In March 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale, which included the work Sans titre by Marcel Jean. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,211.25 (€ 1,422.91), 73% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Jean achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La lune d'Eiffel in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 94,000.00 (€ 110,425.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 73 % übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre von Marcel Jean zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.211,25 (€ 1.422,91) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Jean erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La lune d'Eiffel im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 94.000,00 (€ 110.425,79).
