Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le drapeau noir by Marcel Jean was sold in the The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale auction at Bonhams in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,493.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Jean achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La lune d'Eiffel in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 94,000.00 (€ 110,425.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le drapeau noir von Marcel Jean wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.493,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Jean erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La lune d'Eiffel im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 94.000,00 (€ 110.425,79).
