Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Goat by Marcel Janco for USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,747.29). This price was achieved in the auction Israeli & International Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Janco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Romanian inferno in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,230.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Goat von Marcel Janco für USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.747,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Israeli & International Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Janco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Romanian inferno im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 92.230,84).
