This artwork by Marc Newson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2015. In the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction, the work Super Guppy Lamp sold for HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,939.21) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Newson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Lockheed Lounge in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 1,568,750.00 (€ 1,788,682.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Marc Newson erzielte im Juni 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Super Guppy Lamp für HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.939,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Newson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Lockheed Lounge im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.568.750,00 (€ 1.788.682,07).
