Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work W.&L.T. Chair by Marc Newson. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,131.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Newson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Lockheed Lounge in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 1,568,750.00 (€ 1,788,682.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit W.&L.T. Chair von Marc Newson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.131,96) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Newson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Lockheed Lounge im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.568.750,00 (€ 1.788.682,07).
