Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work 'Super Guppy' standard lamp by Marc Newson. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,847.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Newson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Lockheed Lounge in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 1,568,750.00 (€ 1,788,682.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Super Guppy' standard lamp von Marc Newson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.847,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marc Newson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Lockheed Lounge im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.568.750,00 (€ 1.788.682,07).
