Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Painting for a romantic landscape II by Marc Bauer was auctioned at Christies in Paris in June 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 750.00. Admittedly, works by Marc Bauer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Painting for a romantic landscape in December 2020 with an auction result of EUR 6,875.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Painting for a romantic landscape II von Marc Bauer im Juni 2020 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 750,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marc Bauer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Painting for a romantic landscape im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.875,00.
