A top price for Marc Bauer
When the work Painting for a romantic landscape by Marc Bauer was auctioned at Christies in Paris in December 2020, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 1,200.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at EUR 6,875.00. This high result makes Painting for a romantic landscape the most expensive artwork by Marc Bauer that we have observed at auctions so far.

Als die Arbeit Painting for a romantic landscape von Marc Bauer im Dezember 2020 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 1.200,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 6.875,00 mehr als fünfmal so hoch.
