Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale), which included the work PARENT SERIES: RED GATE NO. 1 by Mao Xuhui. The price achieved of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 152,320.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,400,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mao Xuhui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work '92 Paternalism in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 11,860,000.00 (€ 1,171,807.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit PARENT SERIES: RED GATE NO. 1 von Mao Xuhui zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 152.320,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.400.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mao Xuhui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit '92 Paternalism im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.860.000,00 (€ 1.171.807,30).
