Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Paternalism by Mao Xuhui was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. It changed hands for a price of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 88,526.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mao Xuhui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work '92 Paternalism in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 11,860,000.00 (€ 1,171,807.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Paternalism von Mao Xuhui wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 88.526,85) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mao Xuhui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit '92 Paternalism im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.860.000,00 (€ 1.171.807,30).
