Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Parent Series – A Red Gate No.2(Painted In 1989) by Mao Xuhui was auctioned at China Guardian in October this year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 312,000.00 (€ 37,730.51). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mao Xuhui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work '92 Paternalism in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 11,860,000.00 (€ 1,171,807.30).
