Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work Ancient Relics by Mao Lizi. The price achieved of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 20,778.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mao Lizi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2015 with an auction result of HKD 3,880,000.00 (€ 455,266.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ancient Relics von Mao Lizi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 20.778,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mao Lizi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.880.000,00 (€ 455.266,51).
