Auction result well in line with expectations
The work NO SMOKING by Mao Lizi was sold in the FIRST OPEN | Shanghai auction at Christies in Shanghai in September 2018. The price achieved of CNY 84,000.00 (€ 10,523.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 60,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mao Lizi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2015 with an auction result of HKD 3,880,000.00 (€ 455,266.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit NO SMOKING von Mao Lizi wurde im September 2018 in der Auktion FIRST OPEN | Shanghai bei Christies in Shanghai versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CNY 84.000,00 (€ 10.523,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CNY 60.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mao Lizi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.880.000,00 (€ 455.266,51).
