Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Mao Lizi was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. The price achieved of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,671.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mao Lizi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2015 with an auction result of HKD 3,880,000.00 (€ 455,266.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mao Lizi wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.671,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mao Lizi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.880.000,00 (€ 455.266,51).
