Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Modules by Manierre Dawson was sold in the American Art auction at Bonhams in New York in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,200.00 (€ 6,964.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manierre Dawson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trees on Red Rocks in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 77,276.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Modules von Manierre Dawson wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion American Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.200,00 (€ 6.964,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manierre Dawson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trees on Red Rocks im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 77.276,34).
