In May 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Untitled (No. M59) by Manabu Mabe. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 15,398.83) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Manabu Mabe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 75,373.85).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (No. M59) von Manabu Mabe zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 15.398,83) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manabu Mabe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 75.373,85).
