In November 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin America: Modern Art, which included the work Irsão Vermelho by Manabu Mabe. The »bidding war« ended at USD 40,000.00 (€ 33,619.10), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Manabu Mabe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2014 for USD 93,750.00 (€ 75,373.85).

Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin America: Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Irsão Vermelho von Manabu Mabe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 33.619,10) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Manabu Mabe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2014 für USD 93.750,00 (€ 75.373,85) versteigert wurde.
