Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work AB 149 by Manabu Mabe was auctioned at Il Ponte in June 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 3,300.00 – 3,600.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 3,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manabu Mabe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 75,373.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit AB 149 von Manabu Mabe im Juni 2016 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.300,00 – 3.600,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 3.200,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manabu Mabe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 75.373,85).
