Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Malvina Hoffman could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE HOUSE SALE auction, the work Matador: Moment of Truth changed hands for USD 2,880.00 (€ 2,388.46) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Malvina Hoffman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'La Frileuse' in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 53,775.00 (€ 51,287.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Malvina Hoffman konnte im September 2005 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE wechselte die Arbeit Matador: Moment of Truth für USD 2.880,00 (€ 2.388,46) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Malvina Hoffman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'La Frileuse' im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 53.775,00 (€ 51.287,55).
