In November 2011 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Visiting Guest by Mai Luowu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,741.62), 46% above the upper estimate. Other works by Mai Luowu have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 18,525.62) in November 2010 for the work Ensemble.

Im November 2011 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Visiting Guest von Mai Luowu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.741,62) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Mai Luowu haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 18.525,62) im November 2010 für die Arbeit Ensemble beobachtet.
