Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Middle Eastern Art Online Sale, which included the work Trois hommes sur un voilier by Mahmoud Saïd. The price achieved of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,995.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mahmoud Saïd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Whirling Dervishes in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 2,546,500.00 (€ 1,832,805.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Middle Eastern Art Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Trois hommes sur un voilier von Mahmoud Saïd zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.995,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mahmoud Saïd erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Whirling Dervishes im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.546.500,00 (€ 1.832.805,53).
