This work without title by Mahmoud Hammad was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in February 2007. It achieved a price of USD 19,200.00 (€ 14,512.47), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Admittedly, works by Mahmoud Hammad have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lika'a Bnafasaji Asrak bi Khamsat Awkat (Rythme bleu - mauve en 5 temps) in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 94,772.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mahmoud Hammad kam im Februar 2007 bei Christies in Dubai zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 19.200,00 (€ 14.512,47) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mahmoud Hammad auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lika'a Bnafasaji Asrak bi Khamsat Awkat (Rythme bleu - mauve en 5 temps) im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 94.772,55).
