Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Allah Malik Al Samawat by Mahmoud Hammad. The price achieved of USD 31,000.00 (€ 19,912.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mahmoud Hammad have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lika'a Bnafasaji Asrak bi Khamsat Awkat (Rythme bleu - mauve en 5 temps) in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 94,772.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Allah Malik Al Samawat von Mahmoud Hammad zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 31.000,00 (€ 19.912,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mahmoud Hammad auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lika'a Bnafasaji Asrak bi Khamsat Awkat (Rythme bleu - mauve en 5 temps) im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 94.772,55).
