Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Mahmoud Hammad achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in February 2007. In the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Allah fi Khalqah sold for USD 33,600.00 (€ 25,396.83) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mahmoud Hammad - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lika'a Bnafasaji Asrak bi Khamsat Awkat (Rythme bleu - mauve en 5 temps), which sold at auction in October 2014 for USD 118,750.00 (€ 94,772.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mahmoud Hammad erzielte im Februar 2007 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Allah fi Khalqah für USD 33.600,00 (€ 25.396,83) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mahmoud Hammad mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lika'a Bnafasaji Asrak bi Khamsat Awkat (Rythme bleu - mauve en 5 temps) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für USD 118.750,00 (€ 94.772,55) versteigert wurde.
