In April 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Brushwork II – All The World’s a Stage, which included this untitled work by Tsuyoshi Maekawa. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,500,000.00 (€ 177,053.69), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tsuyoshi Maekawa; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Work sold at auction in October 2016 with the realized price of HKD 2,720,000.00 (€ 320,087.58).

Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Brushwork II – All The World’s a Stage durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tsuyoshi Maekawa zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.500.000,00 (€ 177.053,69) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Tsuyoshi Maekawa; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Work im Oktober 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 2.720.000,00 (€ 320.087,58).
