Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tsuyoshi Maekawa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work without title sold for HKD 562,500.00 (€ 66,395.14) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 280,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tsuyoshi Maekawa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Work in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,720,000.00 (€ 320,087.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tsuyoshi Maekawa erzielte im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 562.500,00 (€ 66.395,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 280.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tsuyoshi Maekawa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Work im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.720.000,00 (€ 320.087,58).
