In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included this untitled work by Tsuyoshi Maekawa. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 850,000.00 (€ 100,027.37), 55% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tsuyoshi Maekawa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Work, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 2,720,000.00 (€ 320,087.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 55 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tsuyoshi Maekawa zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 850.000,00 (€ 100.027,37) und damit 55% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Tsuyoshi Maekawa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Work beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 2.720.000,00 (€ 320.087,58) versteigert wurde.
