Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included this untitled work by Tsuyoshi Maekawa. It changed hands for a price of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 42,249.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tsuyoshi Maekawa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Work in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,720,000.00 (€ 320,087.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tsuyoshi Maekawa zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 42.249,37) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tsuyoshi Maekawa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Work im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.720.000,00 (€ 320.087,58).
