This artwork by Tsuyoshi Maekawa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Roppon No Shiroi Sen (A17) sold for HKD 2,240,000.00 (€ 252,369.55) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tsuyoshi Maekawa; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Work sold at auction in October 2016 with the realized price of HKD 2,720,000.00 (€ 320,087.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 87 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tsuyoshi Maekawa erzielte im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Roppon No Shiroi Sen (A17) für HKD 2.240.000,00 (€ 252.369,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 1.200.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Tsuyoshi Maekawa; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Work im Oktober 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 2.720.000,00 (€ 320.087,58).
