Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Duality by Machiko Edmondson for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,489.63). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Machiko Edmondson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Semantic Space in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 85,211.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Duality von Machiko Edmondson für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.489,63) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Machiko Edmondson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Semantic Space im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 85.211,46).
