Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Sem Título by José Macaparana. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,750.00 (€ 12,351.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by José Macaparana have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2014 the work without title was auctioned for USD 17,500.00 (€ 14,069.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sem Título von José Macaparana zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.750,00 (€ 12.351,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von José Macaparana konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2014 die Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 17.500,00 (€ 14.069,79) versteigert.
