Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work The Lost Bather, 1978 by Mac Adams for USD 600.00 (€ 475.29). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mac Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans titre in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 10,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Lost Bather, 1978 von Mac Adams für USD 600,00 (€ 475,29) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mac Adams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans titre im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.800,00.
