In April 2004 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY, which included the work Peach Blossoms In Ink by Ma Yuanyu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 71,700.00 (€ 4,654.15), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ma Yuanyu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Herons In The Lotus Pond in October last year with an auction result of HKD 432,000.00 (€ 55,358.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 43 % übertroffen
Im April 2004 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peach Blossoms In Ink von Ma Yuanyu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 71.700,00 (€ 4.654,15) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ma Yuanyu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Herons In The Lotus Pond im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 432.000,00 (€ 55.358,97).
