Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Flower And Birds by Ma Yuanyu. The price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 49,493.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Other works by Ma Yuanyu have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October last year the work Herons In The Lotus Pond was auctioned for HKD 432,000.00 (€ 55,358.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flower And Birds von Ma Yuanyu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 49.493,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Ma Yuanyu konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres die Arbeit Herons In The Lotus Pond für HKD 432.000,00 (€ 55.358,97) versteigert.
