Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Bird Leisuring Alongside The Spring by Ma Yuanyu. It changed hands for a price of HKD 57,500.00 (€ 5,347.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 50,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ma Yuanyu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Herons In The Lotus Pond in October last year with an auction result of HKD 432,000.00 (€ 55,358.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bird Leisuring Alongside The Spring von Ma Yuanyu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 57.500,00 (€ 5.347,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ma Yuanyu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Herons In The Lotus Pond im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 432.000,00 (€ 55.358,97).
