This artwork by Ma Yifu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in June this year. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Five-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script sold for HKD 81,900.00 (€ 9,570.00) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 36,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ma Yifu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 46,730.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ma Yifu erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Five-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script für HKD 81.900,00 (€ 9.570,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 36.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ma Yifu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 46.730,66).
