A top price for Ma Yifu
When the work Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu by Ma Yifu was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 80,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at HKD 400,000.00 (€ 46,730.66). This high result makes Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu the most expensive artwork by Ma Yifu that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Ma Yifu
Als die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu von Ma Yifu im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 80.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 400.000,00 (€ 46.730,66) mehr als fünfmal so hoch. Dieses hohe Ergebnis macht Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu zu dem teuersten Kunstwerk von Ma Yifu, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
