Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ma Yifu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Eight-character Calligraphic Couplet in Bronze Script sold for HKD 138,600.00 (€ 16,609.20) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ma Yifu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 46,730.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ma Yifu erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Eight-character Calligraphic Couplet in Bronze Script für HKD 138.600,00 (€ 16.609,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ma Yifu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 46.730,66) versteigert wurde.
