Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ma Quan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2012. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Flowers sold for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 27,267.49) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ma Quan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flower, Bird and Insect, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 57,881.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ma Quan erzielte im November 2012 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Flowers für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 27.267,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ma Quan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flower, Bird and Insect beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 57.881,92) versteigert wurde.
