The work Relief by Ma Desheng was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 44,923.02), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ma Desheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work United Symphony, which sold at auction in November 2011 for HKD 1,040,000.00 (€ 99,493.05).

Die Arbeit Relief von Ma Desheng wurde im Mai 2014 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 44.923,02) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Für andere Arbeiten von Ma Desheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit United Symphony beobachtet, die im November 2011 für HKD 1.040.000,00 (€ 99.493,05) versteigert wurde.
