Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work (I) Reflection From Water At Night (Ii) Lying Buddha (Two Works) by Ma Desheng. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,426.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ma Desheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work United Symphony in November 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,040,000.00 (€ 99,493.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit (I) Reflection From Water At Night (Ii) Lying Buddha (Two Works) von Ma Desheng zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.426,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ma Desheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit United Symphony im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.040.000,00 (€ 99.493,05).
