This work of art by M. Gianni could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the BRITISH & CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS,DRAWINGS & ILLUSTRATIONS auction, the work Figures Beside A Fishing Boat In An Italian Lakeland Landscape changed hands for GBP 164.50 (€ 273.27) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 250.00 – 350.00. Admittedly, works by M. Gianni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A fishing village before I Faraglioni, Capri; and A girl on a coastal track, the Amalfi coast in September 2006 with an auction result of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,124.30).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von M.
