Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours including Original, which included the work On the terrace above an Italian lake by M. Gianni. It changed hands for a price of GBP 286.80 (€ 433.42) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Admittedly, works by M. Gianni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A fishing village before I Faraglioni, Capri; and A girl on a coastal track, the Amalfi coast in September 2006 with an auction result of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,124.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours including Original durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the terrace above an Italian lake von M. Gianni zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 286,80 (€ 433,42) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von M. Gianni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A fishing village before I Faraglioni, Capri; and A girl on a coastal track, the Amalfi coast im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.124,30).
