Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Indian Ocean, Zanzibar, Tanzania #19 by Lynn Davis. The price achieved of USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,978.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lynn Davis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Iceberg #30, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000 in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 36,250.00 (€ 32,496.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Indian Ocean, Zanzibar, Tanzania #19 von Lynn Davis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.978,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lynn Davis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Iceberg #30, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000 im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.250,00 (€ 32.496,64).
