Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lynn Davis could be acquired at Phillips in New York in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Great Wild Goose Pagoda (Tang Dynasty), Xi-an, China changed hands for USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,817.52) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lynn Davis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Iceberg #30, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000 in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 36,250.00 (€ 32,496.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lynn Davis konnte im Oktober 2021 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Great Wild Goose Pagoda (Tang Dynasty), Xi-an, China für USD 4.410,00 (€ 3.817,52) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lynn Davis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Iceberg #30, Disko Bay, Greenland, 2000 im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.250,00 (€ 32.496,64).
