Auction result misses estimated price range
In October last year a collector was able to acquire the work Manual by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye for GBP 119,700.00 (€ 139,449.17). This price was achieved in the auction A Place With No Name: Works from the Sina Jina Collection at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Highpower in October last year with an auction result of GBP 1,482,000.00 (€ 1,726,513.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Manual von Lynette Yiadom-Boakye für GBP 119.700,00 (€ 139.449,17) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion A Place With No Name: Works from the Sina Jina Collection bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lynette Yiadom-Boakye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Highpower im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.482.000,00 (€ 1.726.513,59).
