Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye could be acquired at Christies in London in October last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the A Place With No Name: Works from the Sina Jina Collection auction, the work Erector changed hands for GBP 65,000.00 (€ 75,724.28) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Highpower in October last year with an auction result of GBP 1,482,000.00 (€ 1,726,513.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lynette Yiadom-Boakye konnte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion A Place With No Name: Works from the Sina Jina Collection wechselte die Arbeit Erector für GBP 65.000,00 (€ 75.724,28) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lynette Yiadom-Boakye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Highpower im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.482.000,00 (€ 1.726.513,59).
